Charlotte
Talks with Mike Collins is a one-hour talk show
produced by WFAE 90.7fm. The program airs live
from 9-10am Monday through Friday and is
rebroadcast weekday evenings at 7.
Launched in April of 1998, Charlotte Talks has
become this region's exclusive forum for the
discussion of politics, growth, the arts, culture,
social issues, literature, human interest, the
environment and more. If something is of interest
to people in the Charlotte region, listeners and
leaders know the topic is bound to be discussed on
Charlotte Talks.
The show is hosted by veteran Charlotte
broadcaster Mike Collins, who has been a fixture
in local radio and television since 1985. His
knowledge of North and South Carolina combined
with his 30 years experience in broadcasting has
helped to make Charlotte Talks one of this area's
favorite call-in programs.
You're invited to join the conversation during our
live broadcast at 704-926-9323 or by E-mail at charlottetalks@wfae.org
Charlotte Talks is produced by Wendy Braatz.

One of the
strangest bits of Carolina's history is about Edward
Teach, more popularly known as the pirate Blackbeard.
Margaret Hoffman Kale has written a novel based on the
real history of Blackbeard and his life in coastal North
Carolina. Why was Blackbeard known as one of the most
infamous pirates of all time when he only pirated for two
years? Find out when we talk about "Blackbeard: A
Tale of Villainy and Murder in Colonial America" on
the Charlotte Talks.
